Parents must be members of the Church of the Transfiguration for at least 3 months or have their pastor’s permission to have their child baptized at the Church of the Transfiguration. Parents must also attend our pre-baptism class which is held the last Wednesday of the month at 11:00 am.

For children under 7 years of age – Parents should contact the parish office and schedule the baptism. Preparation is required for the parents so that they can help their child understand their faith as they grow.

For children over 7 years of age – Baptism is received at Easter, following a year of preparation in the RCIA or RCIC programs.

Adults – those who have not yet received the sacraments of initiation (Baptism, First Holy Communion, or Confirmation), should contact the parish office.

Please call the Parish Office to register for the class and for more information regarding the requirements and policies of baptism. After attending the class, parents should call the Parish Office to reserve a date for the Baptism celebration.
